A Gun That Doesn’t Fit Will Never Shoot Where You Look
Most missed birds are a fit problem wearing a technique costume.

The Six Numbers That Decide Where Your Pattern Goes
Length of pull, drop at comb, drop at heel, cast, pitch and toe-out decide where the shot goes when you mount without thinking — which is the only way anyone actually mounts a gun on a live bird.
A fitting session runs two hours. We start on the try-gun, move to the pattern plate, and finish with a written set of measurements you own — whether you buy a gun from us or not.
The session
What Happens at a Fitting
Eye dominance
We establish which eye is running the show before touching a gun. Everything else follows from it.
The try-gun
An adjustable stock, altered between mounts until the gun goes where you’re looking without conscious effort.
Pattern plate
We shoot the plate to confirm the numbers hold under a real mount, not just a static one.
Written record
You leave with your measurements on paper. Take them to any maker or stocker in the world.
